Refund Policy

This Refund and Returns Policy explains when refunds are available for bookings made with Phuket Meditation Center, including retreats, workshops, meditation sessions, special events, and online events. Refund conditions vary depending on the type of event and the time remaining before it begins.
Please review the applicable refund conditions before making a booking. If you have any questions about your booking or eligibility for a refund, please contact us.

1 Payments
Paid Events: Payment options available for each event are shown during the booking process or communicated to you before your booking is confirmed. Online payments may be processed securely through third-party payment providers such as Stripe. Some bookings may also be paid manually where this option is offered.
Unpaid Events: No advance payment is required for free events. Registration may still be required to help us manage attendance and communicate with participants.
2 Refund Eligibility
Refund eligibility depends on the type of event and how far in advance you cancel. The applicable conditions for each type of booking are set out below.
2.1 Retreats
Full Refund: If you cancel 90 days or more before the event, you will receive a full refund.
Partial Refund: If you cancel between 30 and 89 days before the event, you will receive a 50% refund.
No Refund: If you cancel fewer than 30 days before the event, the booking is non-refundable.
We understand that planning for a retreat takes careful consideration, and we aim to offer flexibility while still honoring the commitment made to our venue and teachers.
2.2 Special Events
Full Refund: If you cancel at least 30 days before the event, you will receive a full refund.
Partial Refund: If you cancel between 14 and 29 days before the event, you will receive a 50% refund.
No Refund: Cancellations made within 14 days of the event are not eligible for a refund.
Special events often involve more complex planning, so we strive to accommodate your needs while maintaining fairness for all participants.
2.3 Single Sessions and Workshops
Full Refund: Cancellations made at least 14 days before the event are eligible for a full refund.
Partial Refund: Cancellations between 7 and 13 days before the event are eligible for a 50% refund.
No Refund: Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are not eligible for a refund.
We want to provide a clear understanding of our policies to allow for a more relaxed planning process, whether you’re traveling internationally or joining us locally.
2.4 Donation-Based or Free Events
We’re pleased to offer some events without any cost, such as donation-based sessions or community offerings. In these cases, there are no charges, and therefore no refunds are necessary. These events are offered as a way to share the practice with the wider community, and we are grateful for your participation.
3 How to Request a Refund
If you are eligible for a refund, please contact us at info@phuket-meditation.com and include your booking number. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method where possible.
If you are unable to attend a free or donation-based event, please contact us so that we can update or cancel your registration.
4 Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are processed by us as soon as reasonably possible. After a refund has been issued, the time required for the funds to appear in your account depends on your payment provider, card issuer, or bank and is outside our control. If your refund is delayed, please check with your bank or card issuer.
5 Event Cancellations by Organizer
If we cancel a paid event for reasons within our control, participants will receive a full refund of the amount paid to us. Alternatively, where appropriate, we may offer the option to transfer the payment to another event.
Cancellations or changes caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control are addressed separately in Section 7.
6 Booking Changes & Transfers
Paid Events: If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer the amount paid to another eligible event taking place within six months. Transfers are subject to availability and must be arranged with us in advance.
You may also request to transfer your booking to another person. Please contact us at least five days before the event so that we can confirm the change and, where necessary, ensure that the new participant is suitable for the event.
For free or donation-based events, no monetary changes or reallocations are needed. If you are unable to attend, please inform us as soon as possible, so we can offer your spot to another participant or make alternative arrangements.
7 Force Majeure
If an event cannot proceed because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, government restrictions, serious disruptions, or similar events, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the event or offer an appropriate alternative. Where this is not possible, we will determine the available options based on the circumstances and any costs already incurred or committed. A full refund may not always be possible in such cases.
8 Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing appropriate travel insurance to cover unexpected circumstances that may prevent you from attending, including situations where a refund is not available under this policy. Please review your insurance coverage carefully before booking.
9 Governing Law
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from this policy or the bookings to which it applies shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Thailand, except where mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.
